Only assembled cell packs are offered a four month warranty against defective cells. Components purchased outside, such as an Evolve BMS, are not warrantied. Improper installation is not warrantied. By purchasing here, liability is 100% on the customer. By using products, services, and/or advice; the customer agrees absolutely no recourse will be taken towards Pelican Bay Innovations or any of it's inhabitants and the customer takes 100% responsibility of any. This is discloused as a lithum battery in an skateboard is an extremely harsh and not recommended environment for a battery. Improper storage such as; temperature (summer heat or winter cold), state of charge (completely charged or discharged below 2.7V per cell), tampering, etc … may greatly impact battery safety and longevity.

Samsung 30Q has shown greater longevity than Sony VTC6 and LG HG2. Size 18650 are a tight fit in Evolve enclosures. 20700+ will not fit in Evolve enclosures.
Customer cells are not accepted due to added time of testing cells prior to assembly. Testing is mandatory as the market is flooded with counterfeit and manufacture discarded cells.
Longevity of cells depends on the amount of use, ambient temperature, storage, acceleration, velocity, and terrain. It is impossible to estimate the longevity of these cells. A general estimate by the manufacture can be to expect a 30% decrease in capacity after 1000 complete recharge cycles.
Distance depends on number of cells. All assemblies offered will yield higher distance than factory Evolve batteries. Distance is proportional to capacity. In respect to the Carbon having a factory 10aH battery, upgrading to a 4P (12aH) will result in a theoretical 20% increase, a 5P (15aH) for a theoretical 50% increase of distance. This does not account to retaining higher voltage to prevent premature shutdown at 30 volts that is experienced with the factory battery packs.
Acceleration will be increased greatly due to reduced voltage sag. The higher the voltage applied, the more amperage is allowed to flow through the equivalent resistance of the motors. Torque is proportional to amperage.
Heat will increase in the motor controller and motors due to the increased power offered from these battery assemblies. It is wise to monitor temperature of the heatsink under the board and the motors.
Upgrading to 200kv motors will reduce efficiency however will increase average performance. With the lessened efficiency, the ESC will process amperage from the battery to the ESC, yielding more than average heat being generated. The factory battery will sag voltage, supplying less power to the 200k motors as a form of unintentional protection for the ESC. However this creates higher stress for the factory battery and puts it in higher risk of failure/fire. Adding 200kv motors to these upgraded battery packs will not stress the battery, however put greater stress on the ESC as it will recieve the power you are requesting by the remote. I advise against this modification for the longevity of the ESC.
